Flawless Burmese Rubies are more valuable and rare than Flawless Diamonds. Rubies are very hard jewels, second only to Diamonds on the Mohs hardness scale. Rubies share a common family with Sapphires. The only difference between these two members of the Corundum family is color.

Burmese Rubies

Ruby from Burma is famous for its exceptional coloring. The most preferred colors are rich pink to deep blood red with a slightly bluish hue. Burmese rubies rarely exceed 2 carats. In fact, large flawless Burmese rubies can be worth millions of dollars. Most rubies on the market are from Thailand.
