"Jimmy" Hinshaw
Thad is a professional guide and tournament angler from Hudson, IL. He guides on Evergreen Lake in Hudson, IL and is known by the locals as “the guy who finds fish when other’s can’t”. In fact, Muskies were first stocked in Evergreen on October 26, 1990 and Thad’s first Muskie was caught in April of 1991.
Thad won the 2003 Illinois Director's Cup Muskie Tournament, and placed 4th in a field of 80 boats, in the 2004 Illinois Director's Cup Muskie Tournament.
Thad won 2nd place in the 2004 Shawnee Muskie Hunter's Fall Brawl on Lake Kinkaid by catching 4 fish. He also won 3rd place in the 2005 Kinkaid Muskie Tournament in March.
Thad and his clients have accounted for multiple muskies 40 inches or larger with many fish exceeding 20 pounds, and several over 30 pounds.
Thad has been a featured guest on WJBC radio program “Outdoors in America” and in Scott’s Richardson’s “Hook, Line and Sinker” weekly column for “The Pantagraph” newspaper over the past several years. He has also been featured in “Midwest Outdoors Magazine”. He is also a frequent speaker to the Praireland Anglers Association fishing club. Thad is strong supporter of catch and release and has been a Member of Muskies Inc. since 2000. Thad currently lives within a few cast lengths of Evergreen Lake with his wife Lynne and two daughters Cameron and Mia.
